Step-By-Step Picture Tutorial On How To Build A Pond.

There are many things to consider before attempting to build a pond such as location, electrical, permits and zoning ordinances.  The most important thing is planning and research.  Read books, surf the Internet, find a local Koi club and visit retailers in your area to learn all you can about building and maintaining ponds.

This step by step tutorial shows some of the steps I took when building a medium sized ornamental pond for a close friend.  The pond has three levels, a main pond and two smaller ponds that feed into it which act as biological filters.  The pond is capable of sustaining several large Koi.
