Chocolate Chip Cookies
October 2002
Objective:
To create an original slide show that explores
the quantity of chocolate chips found in various popular brand name chocolate
chip cookies.
Students will determine the average number of
chips found per cookie by using a sample of between five and ten cookies. They will then, with a partner, create a
slide show using their results as well as those of two other classmates (total
of at least four different cookie brands).
Aside from recommending the best cookie brand, the slide show must
also contain background music (midi), at least one table, clip art, unique
effects and slide transitions. Students
are encouraged to also explore other aspects of their chosen cookie brand such
as taste and appearance.
In addition to creating the slide show, students
will also be required to create a small poster (1/2 the size of a standard
poster board sheet) with a title, table and graphics.
